This is such a small thing to get excited about, but Facing Up is now in two of my local libraries, plus the Victorian State Library and National Library!
For a book nerd who spent a lot of time in libraries as a child, it’s a dream come true – I even wanted to be a librarian growing up. Then I got completely sidetracked by horses and managed to carry that on into adult life, but that’s another story.
By law in Australia we’re required to send a copy of our books to our State Library and the National Library of Australia (this is called a Legal Deposit), but I like the fact that my book and my name are recorded for generations to come!
Here’s the page for Facing Up on the Eastern Regional Library website – looks great (I have to say library technology has come a long way since the days of flip card records!) 🙂
