Happy holidays!

I’ve always thought ‘happy holidays’ to be an overly-polite, rather PC phrase, but now I realise how useful it is, especially being in contact with people from all over the world and different cultures via this blog.

So while all the festivities are taking place, I’ll be taking a short break from blogging unless something really takes my fancy to post 😉

But meanwhile, after a blazingly hot few days (an early Melbourne heatwave with a record-breaking December temperature of 40 degrees C and 29 degrees overnight), here’s my mob to say happy holidays in their own way (with a slight Christmas bias):

Izzie in one of her best-ever poses! Apparently she quite likes the Santa hat.

After wearing a heavy fur coat in high temperatures for several days, Tillie was not coming to the party.

Elvis knows he looks good, he just wasn’t going to expend any energy in sitting up.

Hermie is normally a show-off, but not so much today…

And that pretty much sums up how we all feel!

So yes, happy holidays to all, and thank you to all those who bought the Facing Up Kindle edition, still only $0.99US if you’re interested!

See you soon and thank you for all your wonderful blogs and our chats through 2015.

Here’s to another great year 🙂

Carolyn, We’ve had record warmth this December in northern Illinois. I’ve enjoyed it. I think you caught your crew at a good time for photographs when they were too hot to resist! I bet you laughed. Looking forward to following your writing career. Merry Christmas forever!

    • That would make a change for you, I think, Ginene, in your area? Yes, my poor animals, what they have to put up with – they get treats though, & I did wait for the cool change 😉 Thank you for your kind thoughts and Merry Christmas to you too! Carolyn

Oh dear, those antlers were so incredibly heavy that Elvis fell over… or not. Anyway, I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year. 🙂
